AP Oil Navigator PRO (MT5) — 60-second Quick Start
1. Attach & enable
- Attach AP Oil Navigator PRO to an XTIUSD/USOIL chart (M30 recommended).
- Enable Algo Trading in MT5 and on the chart.
- Check the top-left info line for version and symbol check.
2. Basic inputs
- Leave timeframe on
PERIOD_M30 for the default profile.
- Keep default fast/slow EMA (e.g.
20 / 200) and ATR (e.g. 14).
- Entry buffer (pts) defines how far above/below the prior bar high/low entries are placed.
3. Size your risk
- Choose between fixed lot or % balance risk in the risk section.
- Risk is calculated from ATR-based SL:
SL = ATR × SL_Mult.
- Lots are floored to broker minimum and step.
4. Session & filters
- Confirm the session start–end matches your broker server time (e.g.
13:00 → 22:59).
- Adjust the news pause window if you want the EA to stand aside around major reports.
- Set Max spread and daily loss stop to values that fit your risk profile.
5. Let it trade
- During the active session the EA reads trend on each new M30 bar.
- If fast > slow EMA → a Buy Stop is placed above the previous high (+buffer).
- If fast < slow EMA → a Sell Stop is placed below the previous low (–buffer).
- Pendings auto-expire after the configured expiry hours; only one working order at a time.
6. Monitor & manage
- Use the MT5 Terminal to watch active orders and positions.
- Equity guard stops new trades once the daily loss cap is reached.
- Spread, session, and news filters must all be OK before a new order is sent.
7. Safety notes
- No DLL or WebRequest; all checks use built-in
OrderCheck and margin control.
- In live accounts, trading is restricted to symbols matching the configured oil tokens (e.g.
XTI, USOIL, WTI, OIL).
- Tester mode keeps logic but can relax some gates; always validate on demo before going live.
